Chhath is celebrated in the Northern region of India, especially in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh. It spans over 3-4 days where the devotee is at fast at some days and has fixed food items at the others as per the norms. At the sunset of the third day, the devotee with the family and friends goes to a source of water like a River or a lake and offers milk to the setting sun.
13th Nov. 2018 is this third day and I was fortunate to be at holy Ganga in Varanasi (Banaras) this Chhath. Take a look at the pictures that give you a glimpse of the experience we have in this festival.
Happy belated chhat
